Donate Furniture and Effects

If you have good quality furniture available please contact us.  You can deliver items to our warehouse or arrange for us to collect them. If you decide to bring us items we would appreciate a telephone call beforehand.  Items must be free from stains, damage and comply with the fire regulations in those cases where they are upholstered. We can also take large and small electrical items from fridges, cookers and washing machines to kettles, toasters and other items as well as crockery, cutlery, curtains, clean bedding, rugs and ornaments.

All electrical items and toys must have a CE or UKCA mark on the item or the box if donated in original box.

From time to time we may be able to take other items.  Please contact our office on 01386 83 30 30 to find out.

We are unable to accept personal clothing.  Very large wardrobes, sideboards and dressing tables over 5ft (150cm) wide and wall units over 4ft 6in (135cm) wide are unsuitable as many clients live in small confined accommodation. We also have to decline dismantled furniture other than beds, bunk beds and cots.

We reserve the right to refuse any item offered for donation on the basis of its suitability, condition, or space in our warehouse.  Acceptance of any item by our staff on the telephone will always be subject to a visual examination at the time of collection or when delivered to our warehouse.

Please bear in mind that we are passing this furniture on to other people and we wish to maintain a good standard.  We do not provide a waste clearance service.

Roundabout would like the opportunity to claim Gift Aid on your donation.  Details about Gift Aid are explained here.

If you have items to donate then please either contact us by phone on 01386 83 30 30 or complete our online donation contact form; the details will be sent to the Roundabout office as an email.

Please read our Privacy Policy page.
