Christmas comes early for Michael

Last week Roundabout delivery crew Richard Lewis and long term volunteer Andy Rankin delivered a van load of essential furniture items to Michael Elliott of Powick  near Worcester. The request had been made on behalf of Michael by Platform housing officer James Harvey.

Michael had been provided with a property by Platform housing but it had come unfurnished, prior to moving in to his new property Michael had been living in an old unsuitable caravan nearby.

Michael said ‘A friend in Malvern told me about Roundabout and then to find out that Platform could apply on my behalf was fantastic. It’s a mixture of newer and older furniture items but I don’t care, it’s such a good feeling to know I have it all now. It means my family can visit more often and stay more comfortably than before, it feels like a proper home now.

I want to thank Roundabout and Platform for their help. I really hope more people can come forward and donate anything they don’t want as there are loads of people who need it and will really appreciate the help’.
